Farewell from Klopp!

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool , one of the prominent Premier League clubs, has announced that he is leaving his position at the end of the season. Liverpool  announced Klopp's decision to step down via a video message on their social media account.

“I'm running out of energy”

In the message posted on Liverpool's social media account, Jürgen Klopp said:

“I can understand that it’s a shock for a lot of people in this moment, when you hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it – or at least try to explain it.”

“I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take.”

"It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again."

A remarkable career at Liverpool with many trophies

The German coach, whose career in Liverpool is full of success, has won the Premier League, Federation Cup, League Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Community Shield since he took charge in 2015. The contract of the 56-year-old coach, who ended the 30-year wait for the Premier League title of Liverpool in the 2019-20 season, was going to expire in 2026.

The first match after the separation announcement

Liverpool will host Norwich in the 4th round of the FA Cup on Sunday, January 28. It will be the first match of the Reds after Coach Jurgen Klopp announced that he will leave at the end of the season. Liverpool, which hold the top spot in the standings with 5 points ahead of their closest rivals Manchester City in the Premier League, aim for absolute victory in the cup, too.

As for Norwich, a Championship team, they are hovering in the middle ranks of the standings and dreaming of surprising their mighty opponents in the FA Cup race.

Now that these are the final matches of the Reds with Jurgen Klopp at the helm, all Liverpool games will be watched from a different perspective. Well, we all know when there is a final date time flies fast…
